For those who purchased a primary home last year, remember to get those homestead exemptions filed, if you have not already. We can help you with this if you need any assistance or any supporting documentation. Also be on the lookout in late April for the 2024 property valuation from the county appraisal district.
The two most important things here are:
1. To file a protest (if warranted)
2. To review your escrow account balance to make sure it is in line with the estimated tax bill at the end of the year. We don’t want you to be surprised if there is an imbalance in the account come December, so it is always great to review once these prelim bills come out.
