58th Annual Trail of Lights
When: December 8-23
Where: Zilker Park
Austin’s most-beloved and longest-running holiday tradition is back this year for its 58th annual celebration. After a couple of years presenting in a drive-thru format, the event is back to being a walk-through experience where guests can enjoy light displays, food and drink stops, and more! Complete with over two million lights, 90 illuminated holiday trees, and 70 additional displays; this event is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit! Tickets can be purchased here.
Mozart’s Holiday Light Show
When: November 11 - January 6
Where: Mozart’s Coffee Roasters
It’s back and better than ever! Their vibrant and bold display of holiday lights is synchronized to the music of beloved Christmas classics. This year, there is a brand new dance floor and silent disco to get you up and moving! Grab a warm drink, some Christmas cookies, and prepare to be amazed! Be sure to book a table (or even a boat) online in advance, or register to watch the light show from the Bavarian marketplace in the parking lot.

Whether you’re on the naughty or nice list, take the kiddos to Republic Park for a visit and photos with Santa. Warm up with hot chocolate and grab a burger from the food truck!
Armadillo Christmas Bazaar
When: December 17th
Where: Palmer Events Center
Explore an array of beautiful handmade gifts and art from over 100 local and national artists at the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar- a beloved Austin tradition. Shop to the tune of live music by performances by Gary P. Nunn, Henri Herbert, Gina Chavez, Carolyn Wonderland, Andrea Magee, CJ Chenier & the Red Hot Louisiana Band, and many more, and enjoy sips and bites to eat along the way,
COTA’s Peppermint Parkway

Where: Circuit of the America’s
The holidays are sweeter with a trip to Peppermint Parkway. This immersive experience starts with a drive through Tunnel Road, where guests will encounter over 6 million lights, live characters and elves, roller-skating snowflakes, and even sightings of the Grinch. The drive will end at the Peppermint Plaza for guests to enjoy rides, food, drink, and more entertainment. Get your tickets here!
Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Where: Bass Concert Hall
Rediscover the magic of this cherished holiday favorite as it comes to life at Bass Concert Hall’s depiction of Dr. Seuss’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas. A Christmas Carol at ZACH Theatre

The Nutcracker by Ballet Austin
When: December 3-23
Where: The Long Center
Join Clara, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and the Mouse King for Ballet Austin’s 60th annual production of The Nutcracker. Watch hundreds of ballet dancers perform Stephen Mills dazzling choreography to Peter Tchaikovsky’s musical score. This annual performance brings the magic of the season to life with colorful sets, glistening costumes, live music from the Austin Symphony Orchestra, and vignettes throughout the center for photo ops.
